Watch for the coming 45 minute movie on disc golf filmed at Pier Park during the Next Adventure Amateur Championship coming in November 2011.
Congratulations to all the winners (http://bit.ly/PDGA_NAAC) and a big thanks to everyone that helped make this weekend a success. I would personally like to thank Bryan Knudsen and the crew from Next Adventure for everything from registration, to the killer player's pack, to providing security and Disc-Van-Go to help out at hole 1.
The retail value of the player's pack is now at $135!
In addition to the discs and mini, the player's pack includes the dri-fit shirt, fade bag, a huk lab patch, and an etched pint glass.
For those of you struggling to sign up online, starting Monday Next Adventure will take your CASH for registrations in store.
Next Adventure is also paying for permanent tee signs at Pier and an information kiosk as a way to make a permanent improvement to the park.
The disc orders for the NAAC are in! The Z Nukes are stunningly beautiful. Lots of blue and some rad purple/blue ones! Can't wait for everyone to see them. The artwork, provided by Doug Lloyd looks rad on the discs, and I know everyone's going to be super excited to have some for throwing as well as one for the wall!
Stumptown Disc Golf sent Steve Carson and Ryan Gwillim to Astoria July 24-25 to help build the North Coasts first disc golf course. The North Coast Disc Golf course is the outcome of the Ford Institute's Leadership program and the participants that chose to build a disc golf course. The team selected the Clatsop County Fairgrounds and obtained permission to build the course at that location, just a few minutes from downtown Astoria.
